Aviation Partners Boeing CEO John Reimers has resigned “to pursue other opportunities,” the company announced Monday. Mike Stowell, the company’s executive vice president for Engineering and chief technology officer, has taken over as acting chief executive.

Aviation Partners and Boeing created Aviation Partners Boeing as a joint venture in 1999 to developed to equip Boeing airplanes with fuel-saving Blended Winglets. Reimers had been with the company since March 2006.
